Things to Do in Saluda, NC
There are numerous art galleries in historic downtown Saluda showcasing the works of local artists, as well as charming boutiques, restaurants, craft beer bars and coffee shops.
The gorgeous 268-acre Pearson Falls Park is owned and maintained by the non-profit Tryon Garden Club. The scenic arboreal quarter-mile trail provides a lovely walk to a breathtaking 90-foot waterfall. There is a small fee for admission.
Away from the madding crowd, enjoy a peaceful hike to two spectacular waterfalls, Big Bradley Falls & Little Bradley Falls. Access to these picturesque falls is free and there’s plenty of roadside parking.
Delightful Annual Events
Saluda Arts Festival – Every 2nd or 3rd Saturday in May, enjoy the Saluda Arts Festival, featuring nearly 100 artists and craftspeople exhibiting and selling their beautiful and/or useful creations, plus live music, balloon twisters, stilt walkers and more. There’s also a children’s art tent to inspire budding young artists.
Coon Dog Day Festival – Called “a celebration for dogs and their people,” this yearly parade includes more than just visual delights – it also features live music, crafts, food, dancing and much more. Not to be missed!
